Carpenter Fall '04, tet, Ev-EM, re, 22", 2 laterals plus terminal Y with a bud count of 20; full, round ruffled 7" bloom that ranges from a light red to a deep pink with coral overtones depending on the time of the season. This does not have the bud count and branching I typically require but its lovely and I bought it for the size and genetic value with TET RED STEP AHEAD in the background. However, this turned out to be one of my best additions in 2004. Just a remarkable bloom, very strong rebloom and excellent plant vigor. Wide heavy low-growing foliage so that it doesn't bloom down in the foliage. I crossed it with everything in the garden that didn't have a low scape! Fertile both ways.
