Benz '01, tet, Dor-M, 28", 4 way branching with a bud count of 30+; 5 1/2" intense, velvety lilac purple bloom. I lusted after this one for several years now and finally got the opportunity to add it to my garden and I'm so pleased. Its a gorgeous bloom and I'm hoping that it doesn't require extended freezes to survive. It did pretty well after its first winter here but this winter will really tell the story. Its a marvelous parent and should be a great tool in adding some dormant genes to the southern purples. Fertile both ways.
