Grace/Smith, Fall '04, tet, SEv-E (but EM for me here), re, 30", 5 way branching with a bud count of 28; 5" pure pink with ruffled cream edge. This is one of my top pinks - may be the best - excellent vigor, lovely bloom, strong rebloom and is very fertile both ways. Its seedlings tend to be very vigorous and mature quickly, some even blooming the first year here where we have a winter. From a hybridizing standpoint, she is a pure clarifier. What she does to colors is amazing...most literally glow! She is also capable of producing superb whites when crossed with whites or very pale pastels and polychromes. I know she passes on her vigor but not necessarily her form and edge but I'm hoping she passes on her superior scape. I will know more about that this next bloom season as her offspring mature to 2nd year bloom plants. Easily fertile both ways. Photo taken in my garden 6/06.
