Ebony Jewel X Tet Crayola Violet
Stamile 2001, tet, Ev-M, re, 30", 4 way branching with a bud count of 30. Handsome 5 ¼" sunfast black purple with round recurved form. The first (and only, as far as I know) introduction from the conversion of Crayola Violet. I cannot say enough good things about this cultivar. Fabulous branching, strong-growing, healthy plant, lovely bloom and color, and the most sun and rain resistant bloom I have ever seen by a long shot. Just a great pleasure to have in the garden. I am using it to add some color stability to my varieties that tend to rainspot, sun-slick and generally turn to mush by 5:00 in the afternoon. Fertile both ways. Photo taken in my garden 6/04.
